Mark (26) just celebrated 25 years post-bone marrow transplant for AML, attended K-State and Pratt JUCO, farms and has a cow calf herd in partnership with Jim, and serves as junior board member for the Conway Springs COOP.  Chris (29), spent 6 years in the Army, stationed for a year each, in S. Korea and Baghdad's Camp Victory, cross country trucker/local trucker for several years; now attending Newman U on the GI bill.  Thresia (28)lives in Seattle WA.  Played basketball for Lamar U., Seward County CC, and  Seattle University. She coached girls BB at Bellvue WA, H.S., for several years and has nearly completed her first year of apprenticeship at the shipyard in WA, earning a degree in engineering in two more years.  I returned to school in '92 and earned a BSN at Newman U in '94 with Master's in '96 as a Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist in Family Practice at WSU.  Opened Conway Springs Family Practice in '98 and closed in 2000 due to a lack of reimbursement from insurances for care provided. Back to St. Francis for a few years....and then I began working for Arthritis and Rheumatology Clinics of Kansas in 2004, a 5 rheumatologist office, with a satellite office in Leawood Kansas (with 3 rheumatoloists).  Many  opportunities followed: Education Committee Lupus Foundation of America, Kansas Chapter-Board Chair, Director of Communication-American College of Nurse Practitioners, one of 8 authors: Scope and Standards of Practice for Rheumatology Nurses, guest lecturer at national ACNP conferences as well as national Rheumatology Nurses' Society conferences, and have given lectures in the state for continuing education for nurses, recently published in the June issue of Journal of Nurse Practitioners.    Married to Jim 33 years, this November, a farmer and cattleman, he is past board member of the Conway Springs COOP and now serves on Milan Township Board.   I'm trying to talk Jim into buying a Harley Davidson and travel like my folks did for years.
My brother, Ed, is a forensic pathologist and deputy coroner for Salt Lake City UT.  His sons are both college graduates, and wife Ellen, is an RN for a local gastroenterologist practice.  He enjoys fishing, hiking and riding his Honda Goldwing.  Ellen was introduced to rock climbing by son, Eric.

Unfortunately, will miss the reunion as we are headed to cooler country.  Mark wants to give some financial  support to the  local economy of Black Hawk Colorado....so....sorry to miss everyone, but hope to read about all on line......
